Do you need an app to prayer walk

Of course, you don't need an app to help you intercede for an area. It is not a requirement!

So why have we gone to the trouble of creating one?

Firstly, and probably the most basic reason, is that it helps us log our walks so we know where we've walked and where we haven't. In fact, this is the reason we created it. While trying other methods, it just became impractical to log on a map. Remembering where we had walked while out and about, messing with paper maps or Strava, just became too complex.

Secondly, there is the community aspect. If you join a 24/7 group prayer, you get to reserve a room and in doing so notice the others also reserving times, so you get a bit of a team feeling. You become part of the team, the community, praying in that place for that time. With our prayer walk recording app, you can see what others are doing and so feel part of something much bigger than just yourself. You can engage with the process as a team or community.

Thirdly, 'So no street gets left out'. We're making this our strapline, meaning that we care for our neighbors and neighborhood; we want to pray for all. Isn't this the goal - that everyone gets to hear the message of love and good news? The prayer is for this goal, not some pie-in-the-sky dream, but sacrificing our time to call on our Father, together, to change the community we live in. Pray to the Lord of the harvest. And in praying, we become the answers by bringing the Good News as our relationship with Father God grows.
