Why do we have an area download system?

Drawing of completed walks can take some time, and downloading all of them each time a refresh is done is unnecessary as historically they never change. So walks are buffered on your device for as long as you want.

1. By defining the area we can not only download just our area everytime, not just the one we are viewing.
2. Then each time we do a refresh we just get the latest, not all for an area, which saves a lot of time and resources.
3. The defined area also allows us to speed up teh street marking / booking system.

So... This is how to do it

If a notice comes up saying your  current position is outside the download area you can change it and re-import (synchronise).

If you want to view another area (or widen / reduce your area - you've never going to walk so far from home). 

1. Touch the Settings button on your app
2. In settings, touch the 'select an area' button.
   1. In the area selector zoom / pan to the area you are interested in.
   2. Tap on the left button to set the area.
   3. Touch bottom left and top right of the area you are interested in.
   4. Touch 'Accept' - which will return you to the main settings form.
3. Select the period you want to look back for (we suggest 6 months, unless you're doing a campaign - when a month may be more appropriate)
4. Click on the refresh button on the settings form - whihc will close the settings form and refresh teh whole area from the cloud.

Untill you change either the period or area the app will only upload the latest walks from the server. 

You can always review your area if you find yourself in another area.
